One of the difficulties I find with our assessment of AI in the Christian life is the lengthy ‘to-do’ list/laundry list of ‘behaviors’ we must address regarding it. AI then becomes yet another area of our life that requires a form of performance measuring.

Are we doing the right things?! That question is followed by a harried race to modify our behavior. But our hearts remain the same.

AI is simply the latest technology or thing that measures our heart’s true condition. What do we worship? What do we value? Are we willing to be truly discerning? Are we willing to be honest with God, ourselves, and others?

So before we ‘check the boxes’, I pray that we would first and foremost check our hearts.

Thanks for addressing this growing issue in the life of the believer.

Yes, human beings have always been idol worshippers. Over the millennia those idols have changed and morphed into different things but our hearts have remained corrupt. Only Jesus living in us through the regenerative presence of the Holy Spirit in us will we find ourselves changed.
